Capital of Culture 2022

In 2022 Kaunas will be the European Capital of Culture.

A new version of Out of Darkness is a central component of the Memory strand of the programme and will be presented in Kaunas, in Villiampole,  the site of the ghetto where these stories began.

A linked community and education programme over the next 3 years will lead up to the opening in the autumn of 2021.
