Imagined ultimately as an opportunity for encounters across continents and cultures, this iteration is only the first stage of this work.
Encounter was developed to mark the naming of Prof Irena Veisaite as Person of the Borderland in May 2019. The award is conferred by The Borderland Foundation in Poland to honour the work of today’s ‘bridge builders’ who break deep-rooted stereotypes and build bridges between nations and religions.
